ASA's Taking the Hill Fly-In and AMI's Leadership Conference
Collision Repairers: This Is Your Chance
To Make A Difference In Your Industry!

Take a personal interest in the future of the collision repair industry and register for the Automotive Service Association's 'Taking the Hill' Fly-In and AMI Leadership Conference May 11-12, in Washington, D.C.

Join ASA on Capitol Hill to urge policymakers to oppose the "Access to Repair Parts Act (H.R. 3059)" legislation, and help us continue the dialogue from ASA's 2009 fly-in on insurance reform and a full repeal of the McCarran-Ferguson Act.

Why is aftermarket crash parts policy important to you?
H.R. 3059 and Senate Bill 1368 do not include assurances for quality and safety of non-original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts. The lack of quality and safety assurances is a concern for both repairers and consumers, as it puts both at risk of an accident due to part failure.

Why is federal insurance regulation important to you?
State insurance regulation has failed consumers and repairers. Without federal regulatory recourse, repairers continue facing tough issues related to:

Steering. Insurer-owned collision repair facilities.
Labor rates. Other issues.
Paint and material caps.

ASA will schedule key appointments with policymakers about these important issues. Attendees will receive a briefing Tuesday evening, May 11, and then spend a full day on Capitol Hill Wednesday, May 12.

The AMI Leadership Conference sessions scheduled for May 11 will allow attendees to participate in two three-hour workshops focusing on ethical leadership. The workshops are designed to enhance attendees' business and personal success.

"This is a great opportunity for collision repair professionals to change the landscape of the collision repair industry, but it requires our presence and our voice. It cannot be accomplished by the sole efforts of the association's volunteer leadership. It requires members taking a personal interest in the future of the industry, and coming together with other ASA members on Capitol Hill and speaking loudly in one voice. " Ron Nagy
