ASA Honors Member Achievements at 2011 'ASRW Award Ceremonies'

The Automotive Service Association (ASA) honored several of its members during the ASRW Award Ceremonies. Held in Orlando, Fla., during ASA's annual trade shows - the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE) and the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) - the annual awards event provides a platform in which the association and other industry groups may acknowledge the achievements of some of its outstanding individuals.

Ron Pyle, ASA's president and chief staff executive, hosted the program, which opened with the Automotive Management Institute (AMI) graduation ceremony recognizing those who have earned the Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation. MORE

House Passes EPA Regulatory Relief Act of 2011
The U.S. House of Representatives has passed legislation that delays for 15 months toxic air standards for industrial boilers. H.R. 2250, the EPA Regulatory Relief Act of 2011, aims to protect hundreds of thousands of jobs by providing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency with additional time to reconsider and improve proposed boiler rules. ASA Prepares to Relocate Headquarters
The ASA national office is preparing to relocate its headquarters from Bedford, Texas, to Colleyville, Texas, later this week. The new headquarters will be located at 8190 Precinct Line Road, Ste. 100, Colleyville, Texas, 76034-7675. Full operation at the new address will take place Oct. 24. AMI will also relocate to Colleyville. Click here to read original announcement.

The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) honored its 18th class of Accredited Automotive Managers (AAMs) on Oct. 6, 2011. The graduating class of 2011 recognized 65 automotive service professionals who earned the Institute's prestigious AAM designation by successfully completing AMI courses and accumulating a minimum of 120 credits.
